The Ghana Machiavellianism Project

Perception of Ghanaians in interpersonal relationships, economic and socio-political orientations, mental health symptoms and satisfaction with life. As principal investigator, I lead this collaboration with researchers from the University of Ghana and the University of Education, Winneba, examining how Machiavellian views and tactics, interpersonal trust and corruption perception relate to mental health and wellbeing in Ghana.

Findings so far include links between corruption perception, interpersonal trust and mental health problems (published in Frontiers in Public Health), with further papers on sense of community and sociopolitical consequences of Machiavellian orientations in preparation.
