RESLON Lab
RESLON Lab — Research on Daily Dynamics of Loneliness, Isolation, and Reconnection.
RESLON Lab (formerly RESLON-MPH) is my flagship substantive/theoretical research line. Earlier RESLON work mapped the nomological network of loneliness and its prospective links with metacognitive beliefs, worry, and common mental health problems.
The current programme builds on that foundation with research on the daily dynamics of loneliness, isolation, and reconnection: a 30-day daily-diary dataset and dynamic structural equation modelling test whether “feeling lonely” and “feeling isolated” are empirically dissociable states with distinct daily dynamics, consequences, and behavioural correlates — social withdrawal, reconnection, and digital versus in-person contact. See Publications for forthcoming papers from this line.
Looking further ahead, the lab also plans to extend into large-scale genetic studies (e.g., genome-wide association studies) and intranasal oxytocin trials.
